An audio excerpt of Chapter 1: Where’s the Power? from the book “Encounter” by Alan DiDio
I read this book last year after meeting its author for only the second time. It was a Friday night and the room was filled with people--most of whom I'd been acquainted with on multiple occasions. I didn't know what to expect. I stepped in and my attention was immediately drawn to a spotlight display of medieval chain armor... decorated sword, shield, and various other applicable accoutrements.
You can't walk into a room on a Friday night to a standing body of armor and not be intrigued.
We sat down in the third or fourth row... not too close to the front, but still somewhat close enough to count a few chain links on the coif.
Aside from the visual aids, it was a night that not only changed my life, but also rerouted my entire path... and that of my family. But more on that encounter at a later dateas the effects of that meeting continue to unfold. I can say; however, that it involved a man charging across the front of the room, hearing myself speak in a languange I couldn't quite decipher, and profound deliverance.
But like I said, more on that later. You won't want to miss it.
A life can change course with a single decision, but it takes continuing steadfastly on that very path forward to solidify a new foundation of change.
This book has been an invaluable resource in that process--so much that I felt compelled to share a piece of it with you in audio form. I've read it more than once. And will be reading it again.
So have a listen... I challenge you to really listen, though.
